In keeping with is mission of stimulating interest in writing among young people, the Writers Hall of Fame® of America awards college scholarships and gift certificates to writing contest winners.

The Writers Hall of Fame® of America will recognize winners in the Language Arts Fair Writing Contest sponsored by the Language Arts Department (LAD) of Southwest Missouri, the local affiliate of the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE). Area writers judge entries submitted by students in grades five through twelve in the following LAD Fair categories:

Prizes

First-place winners in each of these categories will receive a $25 bookstore gift certificate at the Writers Hall of Fame® of America banquet, and will be listed in the banquet program. Entries in the Fair must be submitted by members of LAD. For additional information on LAD and the LAD Fair, please visit the Language Arts Department (LAD) of Southwest Missouri web site.
