News & Events
A chapter of the Writers Hall of Fame® of America is now being formed in the Greater Kansas City area. The Greater Kansas City Chapter will, like the other chapters in Missouri, perform the grass roots efforts of the Writers Hall of Fame® of America—holding writing contests for young students, awarding college scholarships to high school seniors interested in writing, and recognizing a professional writer each year from the area.
The Greater Kansas City Chapter in the Missouri State Hall includes the following counties: Platte, Clay, Jackson, Cass, Bates, Henry, Johnson, Lafayette, and Ray.

Spearheading the formation of the Greater Kansas City Chapter are Bill Pallucca and Charles Gusewelle, both of Kansas City. Pallucca serves on the newly formed Board of Directors of the Missouri State Hall. Gusewelle serves on the Advisory Board for the Missouri State Hall.

Bill Pallucca (Kansas City) is a regional sales representative for McDougal
Littel, a publisher of textbooks and is a former high school English teacher.

C.W. Gusewelle (Kansas City) is a 2000 inductee into the
Writers Hall of Fame® of America and
has spent half a century writing for the Kansas City Star. He is also the author
of nine books and his short works of fiction have appeared in Harper's, American
Heritage, The Paris Review, and elsewhere.
